First teased in 2011 as a sample from the Air Jordan Blackout Collection, the Air Jordan 11 Retro ‘Cap and Gown’ was finally made available to the public in 2018. The name refers its formal look, designed to be worn for occasions such as graduation ceremonies—its laces are even inspired by graduation cords. The all-black model features a patent leather and premium nubuck upper atop an icy blue outsole.
